This talking camera app speaks to you about the world around you. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) instantly translates written words in documents, barcodes, currency, scenes, colors, people’s faces and emotions, handwriting and light detection into audible spoken messages. Requires iOS 10.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. (Version for Android has not been released.)

SuperVision+ Goggles

SuperVision+ Goggles can turn your iPhone into a head-mounted display device, for near and far distance viewing. It is designed to be used together with a virtual reality glasses, which is also called Google cardboard 3D glasses. This type of 3D glasses are widely available off-the-shelf products (available on Amazon.com).

There are many designs, just be sure to choose one that does not cover or enclose your camera. It will focus automatically, permit you to zoom the magnification, reverse the mode of the image, and split the screen horizontally permitting you a wide field of view on the bottom to locate objects or text and adjustable magnification on top to view text or images.
